Baringo Boys High School is a boys only public boarding secondary school located in Baringo, Kenya. Baringo Boys High School was established in 1965 with an initial student population of 40.
Baringo Boys High School has grown over time and it currently has 947 students enrolled. Initially, when Baringo Boys High School was started in 1965, it was sponsored by the African Inland Mission, now AIC Kenya. The student population comprised of both boys and girls with boys taking the bigger chunk. The girls were later phased out in 2003, leaving it a boys only secondary school.
Due to its good KCSE performance and the need to redistribute national schools per county in the country, Baringo Boys High School got elevated to national school status in May 2011. It is christened ‘the school of excellence.’

Baringo Boys High School does so well in both local and national examinations. It usually is one of the best secondary schools in the county.
Baringo Boys High School has over the years been sending a good number of students to university via direct entry. It is the best public secondary school in the county. The school attained a mean score of 8.37 from 7.9 of the previous year.

The students who have high results and selected the school as first choice are given higher priority than others.
