Chuka KMTC Branch Background information

Kenya Medical Training College, KMTC Chuka branch was established towards the end of the year 2015 after a unison agreement involving Board of Directors KMTC, the area community locals, Chuka University senate and the county board of Tharaka Nithi County Government.

Chuka KMTC Branch started with only a certificate course and less than 10 students. Currently, Chuka KMTC Branch has about 600 students. The student population is expected to be higher in the next admission.

County Referral Hospital of Chuka acts as the major clinical experience site for Chuka KMTC Branch students. Rural clinical experience is obtained from various community health centres within the Tharaka nithi county and outside in the neighboring counties.
