On August 15, the Council opened its placement portal to grade 6 learners to select Junior Secondary Schools.

It is expected to close on August 30.

Education CS George Magoha said the pupils can apply for both public and private schools.

“Parents shall meet the cost of learning in private schools as is the usual practice,” he added.

Magoha is still commissioning classrooms in secondary schools for the program.

On Wednesday, he commissioned CBC classrooms at Muhuri Muchiri Secondary School in Njiru, Nairobi.

According to the ministry of Education, 2.57 million students will be enrolled for Grade 6 and Form 1 during the double intake in January.
