Kapkatet KMTC Branch Background Information
Kenya Medical training College KMTC, Kapkatet branch was established in the year 2007 as a collaborative agreement between the Board of Directors KMTC and a section of the area community. The aim was to satisfy the health demands of the residents of Kipkelion sub county, Bomet sub county, Kericho sub county and Bureti subcounty with fully trained health care workers.
Kapkatet KMTC Branch started with only less than 50 students, who were admitted to pursue a diploma course in Clinical Medicine.
Most of the pioneer structures were rooms belonging to Kapkatet subcounty hospital, which got converted to library, DH, hostels, staff room and skilled laboratory for use by Kapkatet KMTC Branch students and staff.
