KNEC Announces Scholarships For DIPTE, DECTE, DTE And Upgrading Course To DIPTE or DECTE
The Kenya National examinations council, KNEC has announced invited applicants interested in pursuing diploma in primary teacher education (DIPTE), Diploma in early childhood education (DECTE), Diploma in Teacher education ( DTE), and an upgrading course to DIPTE or DECTE in apply for scholarship.
The scholarship is available for qualified applicants planning to enroll for the September 2021 or January 2022 intake. The scholarships, which are 250 in total, are limited only to those who will enroll at the international teachers training college and will cover tuition fees. The two intakes are currently in progress.
There are 50 scholarship opportunities for those willing to enroll for the Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education (DTE) and the major requirement to apply is an overall KCSE mean grade of C+.

For Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE), There are 100 scholarship vacancies and one must have at least C plain and above to qualify.
Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) also has 100 scholarship vacancies and one must have at least C plain and above to apply.
Lastly, Diploma Upgrading to DPTE or DECTE has 100 vacancies and one must have PTE certificate for DPTE upgrading or ECDE certificate for DECTE upgrading. In addition, one must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
