Rera KMTC Branch was established towards the end of 2015, with an objective of increasing the number of skilled medical care staff within Gem subcounty.
Establishment of Rera KMTC Branch involved a unified support from the service board of Siaya county, the Board of Directors of KMTC and the CDF board of Gem constituency.

Rera KMTC Branch is located within Gem SubCounty, in the County government of Siaya. It is roughly 50 KM towards the west of Kisumu city and off Kisumu-Bondo road.
