However, the teacher performance cannot be measured by student scores only as has always been, resulting in monkey tricks! Teacher performance management needs to provide an opportunity for them to explore new and innovative approaches that will inevitably involve all key stakeholders particularly the parents. So if genuinely, a parents sees that their child isn’t competent in a particular skill and they have been scored highly, then they too need to raise the alarm.
On the other hand, give teachers some credit. There are many good teachers out there doing great things with the learners and affecting and impacting the future.
