Taveta KMTC Branch History
Taveta KMTC Branch was established in the year 2019 under a collaborative initiative from the national government, the county government of Taita Taveta and board of directors of KMTC. It is because of the government’s effort to implement the universal health coverage programme that Taveta KMTC Branch was established to produce adequate health care workers.
The pioneer class in Taveta KMTC Branch joined in 2019 either a 6-month short course in Community Health and Development or a two-year certificate course in Community Health Assistance.

Taveta KMTC Branch Clinical Experience facilities
Taveta KMTC Branch use Moi Voi Referral Hospital as the main clinical experience facility.
Other facilities that build Taveta KMTC Branch students’ skills include: Taveta Sub-County Hospital, Njukini Health Centre, Rekeke Health Centre, Ndilidau Dispensary and Kitobo Dispensary among others.
