These 252 Candidates Will Score Zero Marks
Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Mchogu said some 252 candidates cheated in the 2022 KCPE exam, but their results will not be cancelled. will be awarded zero marks in the subjects they cheated in.
According to the CS, the pupils will receive their results but they will be awarded zero marks in the subjects they cheated in.
Further, the said candidates will qualify for secondary school placement “in the spirit of 100 per cent basic education transition”.

A total of 1,233,852 candidates, sat the 2022 KCPE exam, with the top performer scoring 431 marks out of the possible 500.
Machogu released the results at Mitihani House in Nairobi on Wednesday, December 21.
