Wajir KMTC Branch History
Wajir KMTC Branch was established in the year 2016, with an objective bringing health care assistants closer to the residents of Wajir, who were seriously in need of proper health services.
The establishment of Wajir KMTC Branch was a collaborative initiative involving the board of directors of KMTC and the county service board of Wajir county. Funding was done by joint efforts from the government of Kenya and the government of Kuwait.
In September 2016, Wajir KMTC Branch was officially opened by H.E William Samoei Rutu, the then vice president of Kenya. Upon its opening, Wajir KMTC Branch started offering a certificate course in Kenya registered community health nursing, with an initial enrolment of 200 students.
