Davis Chirchir Biography, Education, Career and Marriage
Davis Chirchir was born in 1960 and is 62 years old. He is an IT expert with upbeat experience in the corporate world. Chirchir has distinguished himself as a trusted political operative and takes credit for the key role he played towards ensuring the success of the Jubilee administration in 2013 and 2017 general elections respectively.
Davis Chirchir became a public figure upon being appointed as the Cabinet Secretary for Energy. He was ejected from his cabinet secretary position in 2015, after he was found in possession of the voting materials which were used in the 2013 general elections.

Allegations had it that Davis Chirchir received kickbacks amounting to millions just to give Smith and Ouzman, a British company, contracts to print the ballot papers.
Further, Davis Chirchir received Sh90 million to award Kenya Power a contract. Despite being questioned by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, no charges were levelled against him.

Davis Chirchir is a holder of a Master degree in Business Administration (International Business) from Royal Halloway, University of London.
Davis Chirchir Career
Davis chirchir started his career at the famous Kenya Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (KPTC), where he rose and became the general manager.
Later, Chirchir switched jobs to Telkom Kenya as a senior manager. Her served as the secretary general for the United Democratic Party (URP) Between 2011 and 2013.
In 2013, he became the cabinet secretary for rnergy, a position he enjoyed till his implications in corruption.
Previously, Davis Chirchir worked as the Information Technology director with the Interim Independent Electoral Commission (IIEC).
During the disputed 2017 general elections, Hon. Raila Odinga accused him of tampering with the servers to influence president Uhuru’s win. He was the chief presidential agent at that time.
As the country was preparing for the 2022 general elections, the public service commission appointed Davis Chirchir as the Chief of Staff in deputy president William Ruto’s office.
This position was left vacant after the death of Ken Osinde, who died while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.
Currently, Chirchir is the Kenya’s cabinet secretary for energy.
