TSC County Directors, Deputy Transfers 2021
Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has made a number of reshuffles to its field officers. A number of regional deputy directors and county directors have been affected in the reshuffle.
According to sources, seven other changes are expected to be made at the beginning of 2022.
TSC county directors are representatives of the commission at the county level playing a very vital role in managing aspects of teacher management as per the e xisting policy and guidelines within the county through recruitment,transfers,posting,receiving and recommending teachers’ study leave,handling disciplinary matters as directed by the Commission Secretary and recommending to the Commission Secretary teachers to be deployed to administrative positions.

Other key roles include implementing guidelines issued by the Commission from time to time, maintaining a data base for all administrative posts in the county and a data bank of all teacher vacancies available at the county among others.
In the recent reshuffle,Charles Omwoyo Nyauma was transferred from Bomet to Busia while Mary Kalinga, who was Nyeri deputy director, was promoted and transferred to replace him.
Beatrice Ogwe was transferred from Busia to Elgeyo Marakwet to replace Obed Mwaniki who was moved to Meru.
Mwaniki will effectively take over from Dr.Esther Musani who will be in charge of Homabay. The latter will replace Solomon Leseewa who now heads to Kajiado.
Leseewa takes over from Jimal Abdi who has been posted to Trans-Nzoia to succeed Bonface Okumu who is has disciplinary issues.
It’s not clear who will replace Wajir Director Yusuff Abdillahi who has since retired.
In a reshuffle done by TSC in October, Nyandarua Director Russel Wafula was moved to Marsabit to replace Tom Agal.
Benard Kimachas,who was in Narok, went to West Pokot to replace Geoffrey Chemos. The latter was sent to Samburu to replace Jane Mutua who was posted to Narok to replace Kimachas.
Margaret Nyambura Kamau, who was the Deputy County Director in Narok, was promoted to being a director and posted to Migori to replace Beatrice Lukalo who has since retired.
