Homabay KMTC Branch Background Information

Kenya Medical Training College, KMTC Homa Bay branch was started at the beginning of the year 1979. The main original objective of Homabay KMTC Branch was to offer a certificate course in Enrolled Community Health Nursing the residents of Homabay and outside Homabay region and the pioneer class had less than 15 students.

This course was later upgraded to a Diploma course in Community Health Nursing in the year 1998, leading to the phase out of the certificate programme and introduction of more diploma programmmes.
